This year's Club Med Winter Getaway is at the totally renovated Ixtapa Village Pacific, Mexico
overlooking the Pacific Ocean. They recently spent $25 million renovating this All-Inclusive
resort. The end result reflects the quaint charm of an ancient fishing village with all the
elegant contemporary design Club Med's are becoming well known for.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the Ixtapa Village since it's renovation we were not able
to arrange our Getaway for the time we originally requested, but we have arranged a mid-winter
date we should all enjoy. Especially, if the Sun Gods can only bestow upon us another absolutely
picture perfect week of weather like we had for 2008. While most of our friends and neighbors back
home were chipping the ice and frost from their windshields; shoveling feet of snow; shivering in
the cold with their teeth chattering - our merry gang of Bob & Ruth's

The resort of Ixtapa Pacific is set against the Sierra Madre Mountains, north of Acapulco stretching
out along the edge of a vast sandy beach in a lush green tropical park, brightly splashed with
bougainvillea pink. Its terracotta tiles and colored walls give it the charm of a family hacienda
resounding with all the exuberance Mexico has to offer. Children of all ages will enjoy the areas
and facilities organized especially for them, while their parents will be able to indulge in their
favorite sports or visit the nearby city of Ixtapa or the fishing town of Zihuatanejo.
